Sign-in, security and your data

Two-step sign-in

Open Security under Account in the sidebar. Add OwlHound to an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password and others) with the key or link shown, then enter the 6-digit code it gives you. From then on, sign-in asks for a code after your password.

You'll get recovery codes once. Save them somewhere safe: each works once if you lose your phone, and we can't show them again. You can make new ones on the same page, which cancels the old ones.

Lost a device or used a shared computer?

On the Security page, Sign out everywhere else ends every other session at once.

Download my data

Download my data under Account gives you one JSON file with your account, sites, check history, alerts, settings and everything else we hold for you. Owners can download up to six times an hour.

Delete your account

Delete account (under Settings) erases your sites, history, status page, Search Console connection, team and logo. We disconnect Google on your behalf. We keep only an anonymous billing reference, and an anonymous note of domains that already had a free trial.

Deleting your account does not cancel paid add-ons, because they're billed by Polar. Cancel them under Settings Billing first; the delete page reminds you.
