Independent monitoring, built by one person who answers the email
OwlHound watches websites, certificates and competitor prices for small businesses and agencies — and tries to be right, honest and simple.

I build and run OwlHound myself. If you email the support address or open a ticket, you're talking to me.
Why OwlHound exists
Most small businesses and agencies find out their website is down the same way: a customer tells them. Monitoring tools exist, but many are built for engineers — dense dashboards, alerts that fire on every blip, and pricing that assumes a team. OwlHound is built for the person who just needs to know, quickly and reliably, that the site is working — and who would like to be told before their customers are.
It started as a simple idea — watch a website from the outside and say something only when it matters — and grew to cover the other things that quietly hurt a small business online: certificates and domains that expire, links that break, and competitors who change their prices.
What I care about
- Alerts must be right. Every outage is retried and confirmed, and I check our own network before blaming yours. An alert that cries wolf is worse than none.
- Honesty about limits. If we can't read a competitor's price, we say so instead of showing stale numbers. If a check could be wrong, the docs say when. See what we do and don't detect.
- Public pages only. We never ask for passwords, API keys or server access. We look at what any visitor can see.
- Simple, fair pricing. You can see the plans without talking to anyone, and cancel any time.
How it works
- You add the addresses you care about — website pages, competitor product pages or a domain.
- We check them on a schedule from our servers, confirm any failure, and email you (and optionally Slack or Discord).
- Every Monday you get a one-minute report, and agencies get a white-label version to forward to clients.
Other projects
I also build and publish two independent market-data sites:
RetailInterest
Live option-chain analytics for NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, SENSEX and BTC — PCR, max pain and open-interest buildup.
retailinterest.com ↗
RetailBonds.in
Independent Indian bond research: screen G-Secs, corporate bonds and NCDs by yield, rating and maturity.
retailbonds.in ↗
Running data-heavy websites of my own is a big reason OwlHound exists: I want to know the moment they stop working. OwlHound is a separate product with its own policies.
Transparency
- Privacy policy — what we collect, how long we keep it and how to delete it.
- Terms of service — trials, fees, refunds and limits.
- System status — OwlHound's own uptime, public.
