OwlHound provides scheduled public monitoring and email alerts (optional Slack, Discord, Teams, Telegram or webhook) for websites and competitor product pages you designate. The Free plan costs nothing. Paid add-ons and bundles are billed monthly through Polar and are cancelable anytime. Canceling switches the add-on off at the end of the period you paid for; you may resume by subscribing again.
The Free plan covers up to 10 websites with uptime, SSL and domain expiry and Google-safety monitoring, at no charge and with no payment details. It is provided as a fair-use service. Domain verification: we monitor a site you add right away, but to keep monitoring it beyond 72 hours you must show you control its domain by adding a DNS TXT record, a meta tag on the homepage or a small file at a well-known address that we give you. If your confirmed sign-in email address is on that domain (not a free email service), monitoring continues without this step, but the domain is not reserved for your account. On shared platforms (for example yoursite.github.io) your site's own address counts as its domain. Until a domain is verified we check its sites but do not crawl their pages. A domain verified by one account cannot be added by another Free account; paid accounts are not subject to this. If verification is later removed we may ask you to restore it. Inactivity: if you do not sign in to a Free account for 60 days, its sites are checked every 15 minutes instead of every 5; alerts keep working, and signing in brings back 5-minute checks. After 90 days without a sign-in we will email you and, if you still do not sign in within 14 days, pause its monitoring until you sign in again. We may limit or end Free accounts that misuse the service or cost us disproportionate resources, and we may change the limits of the Free plan with notice by email. Free accounts do not include a refund, as nothing is paid.
Trials. Add-ons and bundles that show a trial start with a 7-day free trial that needs no payment details. We never charge you automatically when a trial ends: the add-on simply switches off until you subscribe.
Add-ons (extra sites, the Client Kit, fast one-minute checks, SEO Watch, the AI answer check and bundles of these) are separate monthly subscriptions that work on top of your free account. Where an add-on offers a trial, it is 7 days, needs no payment details, and is available once per add-on per account and once per website domain. If you cancel or a trial ends, the extra features switch off: we never delete your sites or data, but monitors above your free limit are paused until you resubscribe, and one-minute checks return to five minutes. One-minute checks are subject to the capacity of our servers; if we are at capacity we may ask you to wait before adding more. The 30-day money-back guarantee below applies to the first payment of each add-on.
If you buy a seasonal pass, you pay once and it runs for six weeks from the purchase; a pass bought while another is running starts when that one ends. It never renews and you are not charged again. It includes Guard on your first 10 websites, Price Monitor with promo alerts on 10 competitor product pages, and the AI answer check with daily checks on your first 10 questions, within a fair-use limit on AI checks for each pass. When it ends these features switch off: nothing is deleted, and pages over your plan's limits are paused. A refund under the money-back guarantee ends the pass at once.
30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, email [email protected] within 30 days of your first payment for an add-on, bundle or seasonal pass and we will refund that payment in full. The guarantee applies once per customer. After the 30 days, fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise; you can still cancel at any time to stop future charges. Chargebacks without contacting us first may result in account closure.
Monitoring depends on third-party availability (your site, competitor sites, DNS, email). We do not guarantee zero false positives or negatives. Alerts are best-effort. Price detection may fail on JavaScript-heavy or blocked storefronts. Price checks read only public pages, identify themselves as OwlHound, and respect a site's robots.txt: if it asks automated tools to stay away from a page, we do not read that page.
You may only monitor properties you own or have permission to watch. Use public URLs responsibly. Do not use OwlHound to harass, scrape login-walled content, violate third-party terms, or overload targets. We may pause or terminate accounts that abuse the service.

You may connect accounts such as Google Search Console only for properties you own or are authorised to manage. Access is read-only, you can disconnect at any time from the SEO page, and disconnecting deletes the data we hold from that account. Google’s own terms apply to your Google account.
If we offer referral rewards, they are account credits given at our discretion when someone you referred through your personal link becomes a paying customer. The reward amount and rules may change or the programme may end at any time. Referring yourself, using fake or duplicate accounts, or promoting OwlHound through spam does not count and can lead to the credit being withdrawn. Credits have no cash value.
