Team members and client links

Let colleagues help and show clients their sites' status, without sharing your password.

Team members

Open Team in your dashboard settings and invite people by email. They sign in or sign up with that address, accept the invitation, and then see your account.

  • Viewer: can look at everything but change nothing.
  • Editor: can add, edit and remove sites, maintenance windows and SEO items.
  • Only the owner can manage billing, API keys, account settings, the status page, Search Console connections, the team itself and account deletion.

You can have up to five people on a team. A person joining must have no sites of their own, because while on a team they see only the shared account. They can leave at any time, and you can remove anyone instantly.

Client links

A client link is a read-only page at https://owlhound.com/r/<token> that shows status, 24-hour, 7-day and 30-day uptime and the last incident for the sites you choose, without any login. It uses your brand, and hides ours on white-label plans.

  • The link is shown once when you create it; we store only a hash of it.
  • You can have up to ten active links and see when each was last opened.
  • Revoke a link and it stops working immediately. Pages are not indexed by search engines.

Frequently asked questions

Can a client edit anything?

No. Client links are read-only and show only the sites you picked.

Do team members get alerts?

Alert emails go to the account owner's address. Add a shared inbox or a webhook if several people need them.

Is two-step sign-in required for members?

Not yet. Members manage their own password and two-step settings.
