Webhooks alerts from OwlHound

Posts a JSON message to your own server for every alert, with the event, status, site, times, cause and the email's wording.

Set it up

  1. Point a public https endpoint at a handler that accepts a JSON POST. Private and internal addresses are refused.
  2. Paste it into the webhook field in your OwlHound dashboard settings, press Save, then Send test.
  3. Read the event field (monitor.down, monitor.up, monitor.still_down, ssl.expiring, domain.expiring, seo.issue or alert) to decide what to do.

Full details, including the message fields: Alert channels and webhooks.

Good to know

One webhook address per account, plus Telegram on its own; email always goes out too. If your endpoint answers with an error, the email alert still goes out. It is included on every plan, the free one too.
