OwlHound vs Prisync: an honest comparison
Prisync is a dedicated price-intelligence platform for ecommerce teams tracking hundreds or thousands of products. OwlHound tracks a handful of competitor pages and also watches your own website.
The quick take
Choose Prisync if you sell a large catalogue, need marketplace tracking, reports and a pricing engine. Choose OwlHound if you only need to watch a few key competitor products — and want uptime, SSL and domain monitoring for your own store in the same tool, at a fraction of the price.

Pricing
Prisync lists Professional at about $99 a month for up to 100 products, Premium at about $199 for up to 1,000 and Platinum at about $399 for up to 5,000, with a free trial. OwlHound's Competitor Price Monitor is $29 a month for up to five competitor pages ($4 for a 7-day trial). See OwlHound pricing.
What OwlHound doesn't do (yet)
To be straight about it: OwlHound runs HTTP(S) checks every 5 minutes from one location, alerts by email and optional Slack or Discord (no SMS or phone calls), and has no public API or free plan. If those matter to you, that's a fair reason to choose a different tool — and it's why we publish these comparisons.
Frequently asked questions
Is OwlHound a replacement for Prisync?
Only for very small needs. If you track a handful of key products, yes. If you manage a catalogue of dozens or hundreds of items, you need a dedicated platform like Prisync.
Can OwlHound track marketplace prices?
Often not: large marketplaces block automated requests from servers. We tell you on the dashboard when a page can't be read.
Does OwlHound export price history?
Not yet. Price history is shown as a chart and list on your dashboard, with a weekly digest by email.
